Parenting can present significant challenges, particularly for families experiencing stress and adversity. For many parents, responding to these demands may often seem overwhelming. This training provides an overview of the prevalence and impact of adversity and stress on family well-being and children’s early development. Through the use of trauma-informed strategies, participants are provided strategies for assessing and supporting families at risk of toxic stress through the use of Motivational Interviewing and the advancement of protective factors.
