This training explores values and perceptions related to parenting. It provides strategies for early childhood professionals to create effective partnerships with parents, respond to their needs, and promote their resilience.
Course 3: Nurturing Children’s Social-Emotional Wellness
Young children rely on caring adults and positive environments to develop positive relationships and understand their feelings and behaviors. This training provides strategies for helping families and children connect their behavior to their feelings and thoughts. Through empathy, co-regulation, and wondering with children, early childhood professionals learn effective ways to respond to children, avoid crises, and promote their social-emotional well-being.

Meet Me Where I Am is a workbook for early childhood professionals, teachers, and family service providers interested in supporting the wellness and resilience of families and their young children.  This workbook provides an overview of practical information and reflective and practice activities designed to aid professionals in engaging families and promoting protective factors.
The Meet Me Where I Am training series offers early childhood professionals, teachers, and family service providers a deeper understanding of the workbook material and practical strategies that promote the social-emotional wellness of young children and the resilience of the adults who care for them. Based on the best practices advanced through the Resilient Children and Families Program, this series provides a framework for integrating trauma-informed and 2Gen approaches into your work with families. The applicable section of the Meet Me Where I Am workbook is available to download in the course. Before beginning each training module, participants should complete the related sections of the workbook.
